Empowering Communities Through Action & Opportunity

PROaid Africa's Community Development programme addresses the immediate needs of vulnerable populations while building pathways to long-term sustainable improvement. Working closely with the Department of Social Welfare, we provide essential relief to orphans, street children, trafficked children, people living with disabilities, and poverty-stricken communities throughout the Central Region.

Our approach combines direct assistance with community empowerment initiatives — delivering skills training, creating employment and volunteer opportunities, and developing community infrastructure including schools and recreational centres.

We prioritize communities based on population, access to basic amenities, and the availability of women's empowerment and special needs programmes — ensuring our resources reach those who need them most.

Essaman Community Donation Outreach

On 30th December 2025, PROaid Africa Projects partnered with Corps Africa to deliver a donation outreach to Essaman Community in Abura Asebu Asamankese — providing clothing and footwear to residents facing economic hardship.

Items were presented directly to community leaders for transparent, equitable distribution. PROaid Africa representatives addressed the community and assessed immediate needs for future interventions. The outreach was warmly received, with community leaders expressing sincere appreciation for the support.

"The donated items would significantly alleviate some of the challenges faced by residents." — Community Leadership, Essaman Community
