General Information
About PROaid Africa — who we are, where we work, how we're organised

PROaid Africa Projects (Ghana) was officially registered with the Registrar General Office in Accra, Ghana on 16 June 2011. We have been serving communities across Ghana's Central Region for over 14 years.

Our main office is located in Pedu, Cape Coast, Central Region, Ghana, West Africa. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am–5:00pm and Saturday 9:00am–1:00pm. Reach us at info@proaidafrica.org or WhatsApp +233 24 586 7622.

Yes. PROaid Africa Projects (Ghana) is a duly registered non-governmental organisation with the Registrar General Office of Ghana. We work closely with the Department of Social Welfare.

We primarily serve orphans, street children, trafficked children, people living with disabilities, women, and poor communities across Ghana's Central Region. Target beneficiaries include children and youth aged 16–35, women and adults 40+, families in poverty, and people with disabilities seeking vocational training.

PROaid Africa is led by Mr. Patrick Ankai-MacAidoo (CEO), supported by Mr. David Ohene Nyimfah (Operations Manager), Mrs. Annick Mbir (Accountant), Ms. Irene Doughan (Administrator), and Ms. Wenderly Kyirwa Yeboah (NGO Lead). An independent Board of Directors provides strategic oversight.

PROaid Africa takes a holistic, community-centred approach — combining four interconnected programmes (Education, Healthcare, Community Development, Volunteerism) that reinforce each other. We work alongside communities, involving local leaders in every outreach, and welcome both local Ghanaian and international volunteers.
