Intern Across Our Four Programme Areas
Every internship at PROaid is embedded directly inside one of our active programme areas. You won't be filing papers — you'll be in communities, schools, clinics, and skills centres, doing real work that makes a real difference.
Education & Skills Development
Support educational outreach visits to partner schools, assist with health and wellness education sessions, help distribute learning materials and sports equipment, and contribute to skills training programmes in IT, fashion, and cosmetology across the Central Region.
Healthcare & Wellness
Work alongside healthcare professionals from Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and Doctors in Service to deliver health advocacy, dental awareness campaigns, maternal and child wellness workshops, and community health education. Ideal for medical, nursing, and public health students.
Community Development
Join donation outreach trips, skills training sessions in soap production, tye-dye, and fashion, support school construction and recreational centre projects, help coordinate community engagement events, and work with the Department of Social Welfare to reach the most vulnerable.
Agriculture
Contribute to PROaid's growing Agriculture programme as we develop sustainable farming initiatives that create food security and economic opportunity for communities across the Central Region. Agriculture interns gain field experience while helping shape a programme from the ground up.

Interview
We conduct a brief interview — in person or virtually — to understand your background, skills, and goals, and to match you with the programme area and placement that suits you best.
Confirmation
Once your placement is confirmed, you will receive full details about your assignment, start date, supervisor, and any preparation needed before you arrive.
Get Prepared & Arrive
We provide an orientation to PROaid's mission, your community, and your daily responsibilities. International interns receive guidance on travel, housing, and what to expect.
